How many times have you felt sad or melancholic and deep inside a sensation of comfort, relief and even of pleasure appeared?
Well believe me, you are not alone. First of all, let’s state that melancholy and sadness are normal emotions that all human come through same as happiness, loneliness or frustration and one can intrigue the appearance of another different emotion (or more) at the same time. For example, when a person feels angry is very common a feeling of hysteria to follow, rage and even depression. But not always appears the same sequel sadness-melancholy, happiness-love.
How many times have you felt diving into the lake of melancholy and then, something might happen and a sense of ecstasy and euphoria overwhelms you? Emotions so close related that you can’t even distinguish.
In the case of dark lovers,the sensation of melancholy for example that appears after reading a poem or listening to a piece of song is caused meretriciously by the individual. It comes along with a sense of peace, creativity and relaxation.
Causing our self this emotion is not something to worry about as long as this doesn’t persevere for long periods of time. Remember that in order to be healthy in mind we need to experience every kind of emotion as each of them has something to offer as. Is like entering in distinct modes, when we experience courage, happiness, stress, etc every time a different thrust occurs, thrust of imagination, bravery or tranquillity springs.
Melancholy on its own it’s a very special emotion because can be an important part in a person’s character causing him to dream, be calm and intrigue one’s imagination. Same happens with sadness, entering to this ‘’mood’’ is something that can happen without any important external factor. Let people experience these feelings, it doesn’t always mean that they are suffering, they can be totally fine and going through a state of personal discovery, do worry though when these endure for a long period of time.
No matter how you feel, always try to earn and learn the most of it. Remember that you can gain something beneficial even in the worst psychological situations.
